The DPG20-10000B/G uses a pulsed-impulse measurement method: a controlled high-voltage pulse is applied to the inductor or choke under test. The resulting current ramp is captured via fast sampling of voltage and current waveforms. From these signals, the tester computes a full inductance curve L(i), flux linkage, magnetic co-energy, and DC resistance, revealing real-world saturation behaviour even at very high currents.
With capabilities up to 10 kA and 15 kJ pulse energy, the tester is suitable for large-scale magnetic components, including grid reactors, heavy-duty power transformers, large PFC chokes, industrial drive inductors, and railway-traction chokes. Adjustable pulse voltage and pulse width allow testing under realistic operating conditions.
Despite its high power rating, the unit is compact enough for lab or production environments. The included accessory set ensures immediate readiness for measurement, analysis, and production-quality testing.
