The DPG10-4000B/F uses a controlled voltage-pulse test method to analyze the true performance of inductive components. When a voltage pulse is applied, the current rises according to the inductance. The device captures both voltage and current waveforms and calculates L(i), flux linkage, magnetic co-energy and DC resistance.
With its massive 4000 A current capability and 8000 J energy rating, this model is designed for very large inductors, power reactors and transformers found in railway systems, heavy-duty industrial converters, large inverters, and high-power grid equipment. Despite this high power, it can still test smaller components using lower current ranges, making it versatile for engineering labs and production environments.
Its wide pulse-width range ensures accurate testing of different magnetic materials, from high-frequency ferrites to large laminated iron cores. The broad DC resistance range is ideal for verifying low-resistance windings on high-current coils as well as mid-range inductors.
