The DPG10-3000B/E uses a controlled voltage-pulse testing method that applies a pulse to the inductor under evaluation. As the current rises, the instrument captures voltage and current waveforms and calculates inductance over the full current range. This reveals magnetic saturation characteristics, flux linkage, co-energy and other nonlinear behaviours critical for designing and verifying high-power components.
With a maximum test current of 3000 A, this model supports extremely large inductors, power reactors and transformers used in industrial drives, grid converters, heavy-duty inverter systems and railway-grade power solutions. The wide pulse-width range allows accurate characterization of both fast magnetic materials such as ferrites and slower materials like iron or laminated cores.
The broad DC resistance measurement capability makes it suitable for assessing both low-resistance windings and inductors with higher winding resistance. Its compact form factor makes it practical for R&D labs, production lines and engineering teams that require precise, real-world inductive testing.
