The 7204ec Ultra-COMM+2.422.PCIe provides two RS-422/RS-485 serial ports, each featuring an ultra high-speed UART and 256-byte Tx/Rx FIFOs, supporting data rates exceeding 1 Mbps. The RS-485 mode includes an auto-enable feature for the transmitter, eliminating the need for software control and ensuring seamless integration with standard serial applications. The adapter’s flexible clock prescaler allows for a wide range of baud rates, making it ideal for industrial applications that require high-speed, reliable communication. The card is compatible with low-profile PCI Express slots, and includes a standard profile bracket for use with standard PCI slots.
