Cleverscope CS548 System

The CS548 is a modular, high-performance, fiber-isolated measurement system designed for analyzing power electronics—from single transistors to full three-phase systems. With 4 isolated analog channels per unit (expandable to 16), 14-bit resolution, and 200 MHz bandwidth, it enables precise voltage, current, and switching loss measurements. The system supports a wide range of pods and digitizers for voltage, current, temperature, VSAT, and CAN-based data, making it ideal for lab, automotive, EV, and industrial applications..

  • Specification

The CS548 is engineered to support modern power electronic measurement needs, especially in high voltage, high-speed switching environments. Each of its 4 analog input channels supports passive probes with ±800mV to ±800V ranges. The system achieves high fidelity via internal fiber-isolated ADCs, reducing offset, noise, and distortion.

You can expand the system via:

  • Pods: For isolated digital I/O, temperature, voltage, and current logging (100 kHz bandwidth, 16-bit resolution)

  • Remote Digitizers: Powered with 21700 Li-ion cells, connect via QSFP fiber for voltage/current/VSAT/switching measurements

  • Measurement Hubs: Like CS1303, allowing multiple pod connections per port

Supported applications include:

  • Double Pulse Testing (DPT)

  • GaN/SiC switch characterization

  • 3-phase power analysis

  • End-of-line EV charger testing

  • Long-term thermal and EMC behavior tracking

  • Protocol testing and CAN-based vehicle diagnostics

The system’s GUI software includes real-time math, spectrum analysis, signal information logging, FRA, and protocol decoding for SPI, UART, I2C.

  • High Accuracy: 14-bit ADC, 500 MSPS sampling, 0.3 mV noise (±0.8V range)

  • Scalable Architecture: Link up to 4 CS548 units for 16 synchronized channels

  • Fiber Isolated Digitizers: Enables measurements up to 100m apart with minimal noise/distortion

  • High CMRR: >100 dB at 50 MHz, ±2000V common mode voltage handling

  • Signal Generator: Isolated and rated for 600V common mode

  • Pulse Builder: Create arbitrary/double/triple pulses and PWM waveforms

  • Support for Remote Digitizers: Voltage (CS1200), Current (CS1201), VSAT (CS1203), and Transistor (CS1202)

  • Multi-use Software: Scope, Spectrum, FRA, Maths, Power Analysis, Protocol Decode

  • CAN Support: With CS1310 Pod (Q2 2025) for EV module diagnostics

  • Flexible Use Cases: EV modules, VSDs, OBCs, PFCs, EMC, and thermal diagnostics

  • Upgradable System: Hardware-ready for future software features (e.g., 5GSPS transient edge capture)
