The SeaI/O-687U-OEM brings industrial-grade serial communication to embedded OEM systems through a USB interface. Its innovative VersaCom RJ45 connectors broadcast both RS-232 and RS-485 signals, allowing simple device pinout selection for rapid deployment.
Engineered for use in compact ITX, EBX, EPIC, or ATX platforms, the board delivers 8 high-speed serial ports with a robust data throughput of up to 921.6K bps.
The device uses a state-machine-based USB/UART bridge to lower CPU usage during concurrent communications. It integrates easily into custom builds with a board-only footprint and 9–30VDC input flexibility.
An RS-485 passthrough port expands connectivity options, allowing daisy-chaining of SeaI/O N-series OEM expansion modules—ideal for complex industrial I/O environments.
